Instructions:
The Model 574CM features two ancillary hands that act as Max-Min indicators. This model comes with a spring lifter knob and a magnet and leaf spring assembly USE CAUTION WHEN REMOVING INSTRUMENT FROM A HOT SURFACE. To prevent injury, a pair of tweezers can be used to grip the lifter knob or center post.
Use the magnet assembly to hold the thermometer in place on nonhorizontal ferrous surfaces by placing the hole of the leaf spring over the center post. Remove spring lifter knob if already attached. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOLT THE LEAF SPRING DOWN WITH THE NUTS ON THE INSTRUMENT. Bend the leaf spring enough to hold the instrument flat against the surface.
