Durometer Calibration & Repair

If you need to return an instrument for calibration and/or repair, please fill out our Return Authorization Form. One of our specialists will email you an RMA number and instructions to send in your unit. Turn around time is usually 3 to 5 days from the date it arrives at PTC Metrology™

All Calibration Standards are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Durometer calibration services and reports are provided by PTC Metrology™ and will meet your ISO, ANSI, MIL, DoD, EuroNorm and other international standards including DIN 53505, ISO 868 and ISO 7619.

PTC® manufactures Durometer Test Stands. The test stands are designed to provide the ASTM recommended forces for use with PTC®'s Durometers and are also fully compatible with durometers of other manufacturers.

Durometers can be used either with a test stand, hand-held or with the constant load weight. Please refer to the stand selection guide for appropriate instruments. The PTC® Durometers come complete with carrying case and test block.

NOTE:

Any e2000 Millennium Style Durometer can be made as an "R" designation. The "R" designation specifies a presser foot diameter of 18 ± 0.5mm (0.71 ± 0.02in) in diameter, while the spring forces and indenter configurations remain the same. Please specify the "R" Type when ordering. US Patent D436,874
