Durometer Stand #478 for A, B, E & O e2000 Style Durometer

Carefully unpack the unit and place it upright on a stable desk or bench. Secure the durometer in the mounting bracket by tightening the mounting-bracket knob. Adjust the head and/or specimen table so the durometer is located directly over the centerline of the table. The specimen table must be parallel to the durometer presser foot and should be checked before each use. The specimen table is self-aligning, its setscrew should not be fully tightened.

After the stand is set up and the durometer mounted, ensure the presser foot is about ¼” above the test sample. Place the appropriate weight onto the shaft on the top of the stand. When taking a measurement, turn the four-arm knob to raise the specimen table so the sample contacts the durometer base, and the deadweight is lifted.
