Four Magnet Mount Industrial Rail Surface Thermometer

Models 312, 313, 314, 315, 330, 350 FRR or CRR

The PTC® Industrial Railroad Thermometers are designed to measure surface temperatures for continuous welded or jointed rails. These thermometers meet the criteria for the AREMA specification on track maintenance. The Railroad Thermometer features four alnico magnets that act as the base for the instrument. The Models 312, 315, 330, and 350 FRR or CRR have a plastic cover and an easy to read red indicating pointer. Optional single or max-min ancillary hands are available for these thermometers. The bimetallic sensing element is enclosed to protect it from dirt and other contaminants, but comes in close contact with the heated surface for rapid response. Max-Min Hands (Dual)

The max-min hands are available on PTC®'s Dual Magnet Mount, Four Magnet Mount, and Tab Mount thermometers. These hands have been designed to provide the user an easy way to obtain both maximum and minimum temperatures for a given cycle. The max-min hands are held in place by a non impeding magnetic clutch. The hands are easily reset before each temperature cycle by using the reset knob and external magnetic wand.

Single Max Hand

The magnetic max hand is available as an option for PTC®'s Dual Magnet Mount, Four Magnet Mount, and Tab thermometers. The max hand is reset by simply turning the reset knob. A non impeding magnetic clutch holds the hand in place at the maximum temperature reached during a cycle.
