Compost Thermometer

Specifically designed for monitoring interior temperatures of compost piles and windrows. These stem thermometers are accurate within ±1% of full scale and feature a bimetal helix for safe and reliable readings.

The instrument is constructed of stainless steel for durability and is hermetically sealed to keep out moisture. An unbreakable plastic crystal covers the easy-to-read 3" diameter dial and pointer. An external calibration adjustment is featured which allows easy setting, if needed.

The PTC¨ Compost Thermometer is available in six basic stem lengths: 12", 24", 36", 48", 60", and 72". The standard range is 0°F to 200°F, other ranges are available-see below. Stem is available in either 1/4" or 5/16" diameter. The 5/16" diameter is recommended for stem lengths above 36".

Thermowells for Stem Thermometers
Thermowells should be used whenever the thermometer stem would be exposed to pressure, corrosion, or shear forces. Thermowells make it possible to remove instruments without dropping pressure or losing contents. Each thermowell is die stamped with name and type of material from which it is made.
