These durometers are available to ASTM D2240, ASTM F1957, JIS K-6301, JIS K-6253, DIN-53505, ISO-7619 and ISO-868 standards including many custom configurations. Our sales department will help you determine the correct durometer for your application. We also offer material testing to determine the correct durometer type and style for your application at no charge.

The PTC® Classic Style Type OOO Durometers are manufactured to meet or exceed current ASTM D2240 specifications and designed to measure the indentation hardness of very soft materials such as open cell foams, sponge rubber, cellular and gel-like materials. The instrument features a low glare serialized dial with bold easy to read numbers. Each Durometer comes complete with test block and carrying case. This instrument is designed to be used handheld or with PTC's Deadweight Test Stand model 470.

For unique or unusual materials that are not covered by other durometer types, PTC® recommends sending a full hardness range of your material for evaluation to determine the durometer type to match your material.
