PTC®'s Line of Deadweight Test Stands have been engineered for rapid, repetitive durometer hardness testing. These stands are easy to use and have been built to last for many years of service. The Model 471 Precision Deadweight Test Stand is designed to provide the ASTM recommended forces. This stand is for use with PTC®'s line of classic or ergo style durometers and is also fully compatible with durometers of other manufacture. The Model 471 has a 1kg weight and is for use with ASTM Type A, B and O Durometers. Test Stands can also be custom engineered for measuring unique items or materials. PTC Metrology is Accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 for durometer calibration. NIST traceable certification is available. The Calibration Report will include both "as received" and "as left" data on the force curve measurement. Durometer calibration includes: indenter geometry and extension, indicator linearity from 0 to 100, and mainspring force. Other durometer types, custom models, and durometers of any manufacture can also be certified by PTC Metrology.
