PTC's Model 441 Constant Load Weight is designed to meet the recommendation in ASTM D2240 specifications for improving durometer repeatability. ASTM suggests that better repeatability may be obtained by adding a mass centered on the axis of the indenter. Recommended mass for Type A, B and O is 1kg.This weight provides a constant load for hand held measurements. Designed specifically to assist in taking durometer hardness measurements of printing rollers, the Model 441 helps to remove user error when taking critical roller hardness readings.

Attaches to 306L, 408 or any durometer with a threaded top mount.

PTC Metrology is Accredited by A2LA for durometer calibration to ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1. NIST Traceable certification is available for all durometer types covered by current ASTM D2440, ASTM F1957, ISO 868, ISO 7619, or DIN 53505 standards. The Calibration Report will include both "as received" and "as left" data. Complete Durometer calibration includes: indenter geometry and extension, indicator linearity from 0 to 100 and mainspring force.
