PTC Metrology™ provides temperature calibration and certification services for Thermometers, Surface, Air, Immersion and Digital, Liquid-in-Glass, Infrared, PRT's, Thermistors, Thermocouples, and Stem Thermometers. Many quality assurance systems require that calibrated or certified thermometers be used where accurate measurements are of importance. PTC has calibrated thermometers for over 60 years and is now accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL, Z540-1. Please download our scope of our accreditation from A2LA. Customer's Specified Temperature Points (NIST Traceable)

This certification will satisfy most quality requirements by providing NIST traceable as received and as returned calibration results of the UUT ( unit under test) . The points may be selected from the chart below. In addition to the readings, certification will include laboratory conditions, information on the primary standards and a statement of uncertainty. Cost of the certification will depend on which temperature points the customer chooses. To assist you in selecting temperature points, please refer to ASTME-77 and NIST recommendations. Minimum charge for customer selected temperature points is $65.00 per instrument. Please note that certification prices do not include any labor, adjustments, repairs or parts.

3 Logged Temperature Points

This certification is available for the following models; 815, 818 and 819. This certification will include as received and as returned calibration results of the UUT ( unit under test) and will include three points across the UUT's scale range (from -20°C to 120° C.) In addition to the readings, certification will include laboratory conditions, information on the primary standards and a statement of uncertainty. Best System uncertainty of ±150mK.

NIST Traceable Certification 3 Logged Points (non A2LA)

This certification will satisfy most quality requirements by providing NIST traceable as received and as returned calibration results of the UUT ( unit under test) . The calibration points will be of PTC's choice and will include three points across the UUT's scale. In addition to the readings, certifications will include laboratory conditions, and information on the measurement and test equipment used for calibration.
Price $97.00 per instrument.

Basic Certification Traceable to NIST (non A2LA) - without logged points

This certification is best for customer's needing only calibration traceability to NIST without the added cost of logging the calibration results, A2LA accredited certification or meeting the requirements of ISO guide 17025. Although no specific points will be logged, UUT's referred to will be calibrated at three or more points over the UUT's range.

Price: $67.00 per instrument . Certification prices do not include labor, adjustment, repair or replacement parts.

Surface Thermometer Certifications

Temperature Measurement and Test Equipment : In temperature calibration, PTC has chosen primarily products from Hart Scientific, which supplies most national and international standards labs with calibration equipment. Hart’s 3125 has a flat heated surface that’s stable and uniform. Hart’s Model 2200 Temperature Controller gives you the best possible conditions for calibrating surface sensors. The test surface is milled aluminum for an absolutely smooth and true calibration work area with maximum thermal conductivity and an accuracy of ±0.5°C to 200°C and ±1°C to 400°C.
