The PTC® 511/O Digital Durometer is the successor to the popular model 211/O and is a state of the art durometer that is an ideal instrument for lab use and comes with a NIST traceable certification from PTC Metrology. The Durometer features a large LCD display, RS232 data ports for computer compatibility, a locking feature to prevent accidental erasure of tolerances, automatic shutoff and low battery warning. Accessories include a Test Stand and optional software. The durometer measures the indentation hardness of soft rubber, thermoplastic,elastomers, medium dense textile windings and printing rollers. .

Any e2000 Millennium Style Durometer can be made as an "R" designation. The "R" designation specifies a presser foot diameter of 18 ± 0.5mm (0.71 ± 0.02in) in diameter, while the spring forces and indenter configurations remain the same. Please specify the "R" Type when ordering.

PTC Metrology is Accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 for durometer calibration. NIST traceable certification is available for any durometer type covered by current ASTM D2440, ASTM F1957, ISO 868, ISO 7619, or DIN 53505 standards. The Calibration Report will include both "as received" and "as left" data on the force curve measurement. Durometer calibration includes: indenter geometry and extension, indicator linearity from 0 to 100, and mainspring force. Other durometer types, custom models, and durometers of any manufacture can also be certified by PTC Metrology.
