e2000 Analog Durometers

PTC® Instruments has been manufacturing quality durometers in the U.S.A. since 1946. The design of the e2000 is the ultimate in hand held hardness measurements. Easier handling and more repeatable readings are the result of
PTC®'s Ergonomic Research. The 1.25" diameter base (3.2cm) is the most practical size for maximum repeatability and increased stability. All PTC® durometers come complete with test block and carrying case.

Any e2000 Millennium Style Durometer can be made as an "R" designation. The "R" designation specifies a presser foot diameter of 18 ± 0.5mm (0.71 ± 0.02in) in diameter, while the spring forces and indenter configurations remain the same. Please specify the "R" Type when ordering.

PTC Metrology is Accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 for durometer calibration. NIST traceable certification is available for any durometer type covered by current ASTM D2440, ASTM F1957, ISO 868, ISO 7619, or DIN 53505 standards. The Calibration Report will include both "as received" and "as left" data on the force curve measurement. Durometer calibration includes: indenter geometry and extension, indicator linearity from 0 to 100, and mainspring force. Other durometer types, custom models, and durometers of any manufacture can also be certified by PTC Metrology.
