Model 473 Durometer Test Stand

PTC''s Line of Deadweight Test Stands have been engineered for rapid, repetitive durometer hardness testing. These stands are easy to use and have been built to last for many years of service. The Model 473 Precision Deadweight Test Stand is designed to provide the ASTM recommended forces for use with PTC®'s line of classic or ergo style durometers and is also fully compatible with durometers of other manufacture provided the can be mounted on an 8-32" thread. The model 473 comes with both 1kg and 5 kg weights to allow the test stand to be used for A,B,C,D, DO, E and O durometers. Test Stands can also be custom engineered for measuring unique items or materials. Contact us with your specifications, we can design a test stand and durometer for your application.

PTC Metrology is Accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 for durometer calibration. NIST traceable certification is available. The Calibration Report will include both "as received" and "as left" data on the force curve measurement. Durometer calibration includes: indenter geometry and extension, indicator linearity from 0 to 100, and mainspring force. Other durometer types, custom models, and durometers of any manufacture can also be certified by PTC Metrology.
