PTC®'s line of Test Stands have been engineered for rapid, repetitive durometer hardness testing. These stands are easy to use and have been built to last for many years of service. The Test Stands are designed to provide the ASTM recommended forces for use with PTC®'s Durometers and are also fully compatible with durometers of other manufacture and several mounting configurations.

The ConstaLoader Test Stands are precision engineered with an oil-free airpot to give a smooth, controlled rate of descent as recommended by ASTM D2240. These stands and your durometer will make the most accurate readings with improved repeatability and reproduceability. Ideal for applications with multiple operators or where fatigue may be a factor in repeating durometer hardness measurements. Quality built using aircraft aluminum and hard anodized for a long lasting finish.

PTC® recommends these blocks be used as a field check of the durometer. It will give the user an indication as to whether the durometer is mechanically sound prior to use. The block is designed using aircraft aluminum, precision ground and hard anodized. The value is assessed using a certified durometer. ASTM D2240 specification states that test blocks are not to be relied upon as calibration standards. The calibration procedures for the durometer include mechanical, dimensional and force curve measurements as stated in ASTM D2240 and F1957.

PTC Metrology is Accredited by A2LA for durometer calibration to ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1. NIST Traceable certification is available for all durometer types covered by current ASTM D2440, ASTM F1957, ISO 868, ISO 7619, or DIN 53505 standards. The Calibration Report will include both "as received" and "as left" data. Complete Durometer calibration includes: indenter geometry and extension, indicator linearity from 0 to 100 and mainspring force.
