201 PENCIL DUROMETER TYPE A
510.00
Type A: For soft rubber, Elastomers, Waxes, Printing Rollers
The PTC® Analog Pencil Style Durometers are manufactured to meet or exceed current ASTM D2240 specifications and designed to measure the indentation hardness of rubber, elastomers,
and other rubberlike substances such as neoprene, silicone, vinyl, nitrile and butyl. The 360° dial features bold, easy to read numbers indicating a specific value, with a 0.2 resolution.
A standard magnetic max hand retains the peak reading until reset. The durometer's 1/2" diameter base (1.3cm) is the smallest base permitted by ASTM D2240 specifications.
This allows it to be used in confined or hard to reach areas other durometers cannot test.
The model 201 comes complete with test block and carrying case.

306L.5 HALF POINT CLASSIC STYLE DUROMETER TYPE A
715.00
Type A: For Natural and Synthetic Rubber, Elastomers and Polymers
PTC's new Half Point Durometer has a total accuracy of + 1/2 point for the most stringent material testing. By closely following ASTMD2240 test methods, the Half Point Durometer can significantly improve
durometer hardness readings and repeatability. The significant advances in polymers which are materials with characteristic mechanical and physical properties controlled by the structure and the method synthesis make this
certified durometer the ultimate working lab durometer.
Polymers are substances whose molecules have high molar masses and are composed of a large number of repeating units. There are both naturally occurring and synthetic polymers. Among naturally occurring polymers are proteins,
starches, cellulose, and latex. Synthetic polymers are produced commercially on a very large scale and have a wide range of properties and uses. The durometer can be used either with a test stand, hand-held or with the
constant load weight. Please refer to the Durometer Stand Selection Guide for the appropriate accessories. The PTC® Half Point Durometer comes complete
with A2LA/NIST Certification, carrying case, test block and magnetic max hand.

306RL RACING TIRE CLASSIC STYLE DUROMETER TYPE A
510.00
Type A: For Racing Tires
PTC has announced Model 306RL, the durometer specifically tailored to measuring racing tire hardness. The Model 306RL durometer is the first choice for use by tire manufacturers, technical inspectors, race teams,
and engineers fast and accurate tire hardness. Used to determine conformance to durometer rules, class rules and the tire manufacturers specifications. The Model 306RL is also a great tool for spotting chemically softened tires.
The Model 306RL Durometer accurately and easily measures racing tire hardness in compliance with ASTM D2240 (Type A). The large rectangular base is ideally suited to obtaining repeatable readings on tires.
The durometer features a low glare dial, bold easy to read numbers and a bright red paint job making it easy to locate. The durometer comes standard with a Max Hold hand, which retains the peak reading for easy reading. The top knob permits both hand held use and attachment the accessory Model 441 1kg Constant Load Deadweight. The Model 441 provides more consistent measurements by providing the downward force. Each instrument is individually calibrated using standards traceable to NIST. A test block and sturdy carrying case are included with the durometer as well as a nylon belt pouch. Accredited certification is optional.
