Type OOO: For Very Soft Materials Open Cell Foam & Sponge Rubber

The PTC® Classic Style Type OOO Durometers are manufactured to meet or exceed current ASTM D2240 specifications and designed to measure the indentation hardness of very soft materials such as open cell foams, sponge rubber, cellular and gel-like materials.

The instrument features a low glare serialized dial with bold easy to read numbers. Each Durometer comes complete with test block and carrying case. This instrument is designed to be used handheld or with PTC's Deadweight Test Stand Model 470.

The model 412L is a non ASTM standard available with a max hand.

PTC Metrology is Accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 for durometer calibration. NIST traceable certification is available for any durometer type covered by current ASTM D2440, ASTM F1957, ISO 868, ISO 7619, or DIN 53505 standards. The Calibration Report will include both "as received" and "as left" data on the force curve measurement. Durometer calibration includes: indenter geometry and extension, indicator linearity from 0 to 100, and mainspring force. Other durometer types, custom models, and durometers of any manufacture can also be certified by PTC Metrology.
