The PTC® Ergo Style Durometers are manufactured to meet or exceed current ASTM D2240 specifications for Type D durometers and designed to measure indentation hardness of hard rubber, plastics, and substances such as acrylic, delrin, kevlar, pvc, nylon and lexan. The Model 409 has an aluminum die-cast case that tapers to a 1" x 1" base and a removable mounting knob for comfortable handheld use. The instrument comes complete with an individual calibration test report, magnetic max hand, test block and carrying case.  These durometers can be used either with a test stand or as hand-held testers. The Model 409 can be used with PTC^®'s Models 320, 472 or 475 Test Stands.
