Pencil Style Durometers Analog & Digital
Type A,B,C,D,DO,O and OO:
For rubber and plastics hardness testing
The PTC® Pencil Style Durometers are manufactured to meet or exceed current ASTM D2240, and ISO 868 specifications and designed to measure the indentation hardness of rubber, elastomers, foams, gels, and plastics. The durometer's 1/2" diameter base (1.3cm) is the smallest base permitted by ASTM D2240 specifications. This allows it to be used in confined or hard to reach areas other durometers cannot test. The instrument uses a dial gauge with a full 360 degree scale and bold, easy to read numbers. The dial scale can easily be read to 0.2 point accuracy. A standard max hand holds the peak reading until reset. The dial has a red zone to indicate unreliable readings.
The PTC® Certified Digital Durometer features a large direct read LCD display, RS232 data ports for computer compatibility, a locking feature to prevent accidental erasure of tolerances, automatic shutoff and low battery warning. Accessories include an SPC type printer and optional software. The LCD numbers give durometer readings to 0.1 of a point. An electronic max hand holds the peak reading. |
